To answer your question about FTP, erdelynet.com uses IIS and is hosted
by Infovue.net. Dave Rolling, host extraordinaire, makes sure that all
of his servers are at the current patch level and I feel safe on his
servers.
At my office, we have IIS running for web and ftp mainly because it's
there, it's easy and if we get hacked, we'll rebuild the machines.
At home (and on my work desktops and servers), I use Cygwin's
implementation of SFTP. It's secure, it's easy and with SecureFX
(http://www.vandyke.com/), it's gooey... er... GUI.

As far as using IIS for my ftp is concerned... IIS is
disabled since i installed W2k. I dont want another
nimda or code-red coming my way...
